sports club SL
yea so as said earilier that those who want the SL for their residential project can place a comment on this post stating your name, class and email.
for this SL, we would be teaching kids in the primary school age ranged about sports. these are not sporty children so it would be good if we do not plan very rigirous activities for them. the activities should include a takeaway point about the upcoming youth olympic games in singapore. there could be quizzes and stuff mixed together with some games. im sure u all can come up with some good ideas so lets hear them!
oh and our blog abit the dead le so do tag if u all come. posts will be made regularly, i will try.

hey j2 clubbers! napfa test is this week for us so must jia you! the target for all of us is silver and above. so here are a few secret tips about napha test that have been observed and confirmed.
tips:
for standing board jump
-always try to start with standing board jump as your first station.
standing board jump is the station after sit ups, and most of us, somehow use our thigh muscles during sit ups as well and they feel all cramped after doing our 40+ situps. so if u do jumping after that, it will surely affect it by a few centimeters. if die also cannot, the dont exert too hard to sit ups. 43 is a already A le. unless u want beat the record of 66 a minute, which is more than 1 a second, save your energy. cos we have to run 2.4 also.
-doing tuck jumps b4 jumping helps.
has been proven and mr sanuseh said so as well.
-miss chai is a nice teacher.
she let me and my fren jump 5 times even though we faulted! so try to get her if can.
for sit and reach
-stretch ur legs b4 doing.
stretching helps loads. get a friend to slap ur back while u reach for ur toes as well as it will loosen up the back muscles so u can stretch further. i have a relative that is a nurse, she did the slapping on my back. b4 that i could only touch the floor with my fingers, but after the slapping, i can put my palms on the floor! but got some technique la so i not sure how. but slapping still will work abit.
-the standard bend ur elbows b4 pushing.
ya most teachers wont notice.
-mr sanuseh is a good teacher.
he does not let u do alot of times, but he motivate alot, made my fren from 38 stretch to 50! jus by hot air.
-keep long nails or go put extensions.
they nv say cannot keep ma.
-take off ur shoes b4 doing.
shoes give u additional distance to cover.
for pull ups
-teachers allow swinging to a small extent (for guys only)
tested and tried with more than one person le.
i dunno wad are the limitations for the girls so sorry. but i do know that if u constantly point ur chin upwards, they may take into account for that incline pull up. some thing like this.

shuttle run
-go for the bean bag on the left first. (or the opposite from ur prominent hand)
i think it has something do do with the coordination of ur brain and the accelerating part forgot the details sorry. however for this station, is all about chionging. not much tips. not much ways to cheat either. unless u put a double sided tape on ur palm and just stick it up instead of picking it up.
situps
-get a good fren to add some lol.
count softly while u do this. but i doubt any of you would need to use this method anyways cos all like so fit for this station le. morning the first exercise u do is to sit up out of bed. 18 years of exp should be enough.
-if u wear specs, take them out.
u close ur eyes anyway while doing it so wads the point of keeping the specs on? also less irratition.
-die die also must cup ur hand on ur ears.
i saw some ppl pulling their ears as they come up (so cute.)
ya cos the teachers may minus points if they see once, then its dam wasted. and then now they have the sports ppl to help them see who nv cup the ears. so die die must cup!
2.4km run/jog no walk
-try (very very hard) not to walk
it will be over b4 u know it. but if u are a really fast runner (like xu hao) u can purposely run in front of someone, then stop and walk. then later overtake. repeat. ( prefferably during the 4th or 5th lap wen ppl start having mental battles with themselves ) pretty soon they will be very fustrated that u keep overtaking them lol. a good way to have fun at the same time.
-dont drink water after ur 5 stations!
though u may be thirsty, water only attracts stiches. ur body can survive 10+ mins without water trust me.
-it is not necessary to reply to those cheering for u.
some of u may want to shout back "thanks!"out of politeness, but the extra energy needed to shout back is not worth it (lol sound abit selfish but heck). ur frens most likely know u want to complete and concentrate on the run and know u still love them anyways. you can attempt to raise ur hand in adknowledgment though. ah and try to get some adrenaline out of their cheering like run faster when u get near them, and thank them afterwards. frens support is always important. so do support ur frens as much as possible!
-its a mental battle that can be won.
staring at the floor while running works for me cos everything looks the same, and i just keep telling myself "last lap last lap le" and when its not last lap go back and think "just joking." best if u chant the last lap last lap according to ur footstep rythm, that will keep any distractions out of ur mind. it really works!
now its all over and u can buy urself a nice bottle of green tea. hope to see all the guys go army and shave head at the same time!
